Who is the Doctors of the World:

Doctors of the World are a Not Governmental Organization of humanitarian aid and cooperation for the development, without partisan or religious filiation.

The work of Doctors of the World seats in the basic right of all the human beings to have access the cares of health, independently of its nationality, religion, ideology or race.

“We fight against all the illnesses, even though the injustice…” it is the motto of Doctors of the World, that understands the aid humanitarian as a form of minorar the suffering of the populations reached for the war, ethnic conflicts, natural catastrophes, illnesses, social exclusion, poverty, toxicodependência, prostitution, breaking of the human rights and degradation of the quality of the environment.

Gift in Portugal since 1999, the activities developed for Doctors of the World are assured by one equip operative, that it is supported by the direcção of the association and a set of more than 200 active volunteers. Throughout these years, the work of Doctors of the World received some distinctions.
